Your branding or marketing department probably has an identity package which was carefully designe= d to guide how your organization presents itself online, in print, and else= where. This usually covers logo(s), fonts, color palette, stock imagery, an= d other items. And it does so at a very high level to allow designers room = for creativity. (See our Design page= for more information on identity packages and brands.)
While having room for creativity is great, translating these high-level = guidelines to a detailed web site design can be a time-consuming and expens= ive prospect. With wikis, this can be even harder due to the constantly cha= nging nature of the content.
Fortunately, Zen allows you to directly use your identity package guidel= ines as the basis for your Zen brand, without the tedium of considering eve= ry display element in every nook and cranny of your wiki.
In your Zen brand, you'll incorporate your logo, fonts, and color palett= e. Before diving in, here's a little background on each:
You can add a logo to y= our Zen brand, or upload a logo using Confluence Global or Space admin pages to overrid= e the logo provided by your brand.
We recommend adding a logo (suitable for site-wide use) to your brand, a= nd overriding the logo for spaces when needed.
Zen allows for primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, along with three= accent colors. Specify th= em in your brand, and Zen will use them to render your wiki pages.
Some color palettes don't have different color values for all six. If th= at's your case, just pick the nearest color, and use that. For example, if = there is no tertiary color, try using the secondary color.
If fonts are specified in your identity package, and you have a purchase= d web font license or subscription to a type service, you can use them in y= our brand for display on your wiki pages. You can include up to five fonts.=
See Custom Fonts for mor= e information on how to include custom webfonts with the Brand Designer.
Stock artwork and imagery can be incorporated into your brand, or applie= d to specific pages using Zen's specialized design macros.
Now you're ready to start building your custom Zen brand. We recommend you=
